Something is wrong in the app
Write to hello@mywineshelf.com and say what you were doing when it happened. The two things that make a problem findable are the device (iPhone 15, Pixel 8) and what you expected to happen instead.
A screenshot is worth more than a description. If the app crashed, it has already sent a crash report on its own, so saying roughly when it happened is usually enough to find it.
A wine is wrong, or missing
The catalogue is the Swedish retail range, with the wine trade’s LWIN registry behind it for depth. It is large but not complete, and if a wine is not in it, add the bottle by name. Nothing about a bottle added by name is second class.
The catalogue describes the wine; the bottle is yours. The vintage, how many you hold, where they are kept, the drinking window and your notes are all set by you and change nothing for anyone else. A catalogue entry that looks wrong is worth an email with the producer and the wine’s name.
The label scan
The scan photographs the front label and looks the wine up. Heavy foil and a tight curve on the glass both defeat it; a second photo taken straight on usually reads better.
Scanning is limited per day. Adding by name is not, and it is never the lesser route: a label that reads fine but matches nothing goes into your cellar under the name on the photo, and works like any other bottle.
Deleting your account
There is no Delete account button in the app yet. Deletion lives on this site: sign in on the delete account page and press the button there. It runs while you wait and it cannot be undone.
It removes your cellar, your tasting notes, your wishlist and the barcodes you scanned. The sign-in is shared with the other shelf apps, and deleting here leaves those shelves alone; the sign-in itself goes only once no shelf app holds anything of yours.
If you cannot get into the account, write to hello@mywineshelf.com from the address you signed up with and ask for deletion.
